The Council’s COVID-19 helpline is available from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday and 9am to 12.30pm on a Saturday.

CWP Mental Health helpline 0800 145 6485. The helpline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is open to people of all ages – including children and young people across Cheshire and Wirral.

Help in Emergencies for Local People (HELP)
The HELP scheme is a discretionary scheme offering local welfare assistance including:
  • support for exceptional needs
  • limited payments for emergency funding in a crisis or;
  • to help people moving out of care

How to access help if you are homeless or threatened with homelessness
If you need assistance from the Council you should contact the Housing Options team as early as possible if you are homeless or threatened with homelessness within 56 days. You can contact the Housing Options team by email or telephone.
