​Help in Emergencies for Local People (HELP)
The HELP scheme is a discretionary scheme offering local welfare assistance including:
  • support for exceptional needs
  • limited payments for emergency funding in a crisis or;
  • to help people moving out of care
The Council’s HELP team is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday: 0808 175 3599 ​

St Mark’s Debt Advice Centre based at St Mark’s Church, St Mark’s Rd, Saltney CH4 8DE
Providing free advice and practical support with budgeting money, benefit checks and applications, managing debts and generally getting finances back on track.

Citizens Advice 

Mental Health Support:
CWP Mental Health helpline 0800 145 6485. The helpline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is open to people of all ages – including children and young people across Cheshire and Wirral.

Early Years:
If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, the Healthy Start scheme could help you.
You need to be claiming certain benefits to qualify.
